Baseball Recap: Wakulla Find Success

Wakulla won the last time they faced Leon and things went their way on Tuesday too. The War Eagles walked away with a 6-3 win over the Lions. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the War Eagles.

Kendall Wimes made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Wimes was also solid in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with two runs and one double.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Owen Kless, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double. Another player making a difference was Wesson Stanley, who went 2-for-4 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Wakulla was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .387. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Leon only posted a batting average of .200.

The victory got Wakulla back to even at 2-2. As for Leon, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-3.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Wakulla will welcome Madison County at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Leon, they will host Godby at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
