Baseball Game Preview: St. Frances Academy Panthers vs. Key Obezags

The St. Frances Academy Panthers will face off against the Key Obezags at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday.

St. Frances Academy heads in on the heels of a playoff match on Monday. They fell 11-6 to Park School. The Panthers haven't had much luck with the Bruins recently, as the team has come up short the last eight times they've met.

Meanwhile, Key hadn't done well against Pallotti recently (they were 0-4 in their previous four matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Wednesday. The Obezags had just enough and edged out the Panthers 7-5. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Obezags have posted since May 13, 2024.

The team relied heavily on Sean Flynn, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two stolen bases and one run. The team also got some help courtesy of John Fisher, who went 1-for-3 with one triple, one stolen base, and one run.

Key is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-7 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.2 runs over those games. As for St. Frances Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 15-5.
