Basketball Recap: Mascenic Regional Comes Up Short

If Mascenic Regional was feeling good fresh off their 48-18 takedown of Epping last Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Mascenic Regional Vikings took a hard 53-38 fall against the Portsmouth Christian Academy Eagles on Wednesday. The loss continues a trend for the Vikings in their matchups with the Eagles: they've now lost six in a row.

Mascenic Regional's defeat dropped their record down to 4-12. As for Portsmouth Christian Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 10-6.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Mascenic Regional will face off against Mount Royal Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Mount Royal Academy will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Mascenic Regional surely won't give up without a fight. As for Portsmouth Christian Academy, they will square off against Hinsdale at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
