Soccer Game Preview: Morro Bay vs. Nipomo

The Morro Bay Pirates will head out to challenge the Nipomo Titans at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.

Nipomo will be up against a hot Morro Bay squad: the team just extended their winning streak to three. Everything went Morro Bay's way against Cabrillo on Thursday as Morro Bay made off with a 5-1 victory. The match was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 3-0.

Meanwhile, Nipomo got the win against Mission College Prep on Tuesday by a conclusive 6-2. Chase Myers was a massive factor in the win as he booted in three goals all by himself.

Nipomo is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games, which provided a massive bump to their 6-6-3 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 22 goals over those four contests. As for Morro Bay, they pushed their record up to 4-8-1 with the win, which was their third straight at home.

Morro Bay skirted past Nipomo 3-2 in their previous meeting back in December of 2023. Will Morro Bay repeat their success, or does Nipomo have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
