Wynne has gone 8-1 against West Memphis recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Yellowjackets will head out on the road to challenge the Blue Devils at 4:30 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Wynne has five straight wins, West Memphis has three straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

Wynne is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They put the hurt on Trumann with a sharp 22-6 victory on Wednesday. Considering the Yellowjackets have won nine contests by more than nine runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

West Memphis couldn't beat White Station on Wednesday even though they stacked four runs on them in the fifth inning. The Blue Devils came up short against the Spartans, falling 16-6. That's two games in a row now that the Blue Devils have lost by exactly ten runs.

Nolan Rodgers and Cyrone Madison stepped up to the plate in a big way. Rodgers went 1-for-2 with two runs and one double, while Madison got on base in two of his three plate appearances with two stolen bases and two runs. Rodgers has become a key player for West Memphis: the team is 3-1 when he posts at least two runs, but 2-16 otherwise. Randy East also deserves some recognition as he scored his first run of the season.

West Memphis' loss dropped their record down to 5-17. As for Wynne, their win bumped their record up to 11-6.

Everything went Wynne's way against West Memphis when the teams last played back in March, as Wynne made off with a 12-2 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Yellowjackets since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
