Football Recap: Iroquois Drops Highest Score of Season Against Union City

Iroquois's game last Friday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. Everything went their way against the Union City Bears as they made off with a 41-19 win. The Braves' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Cole Bennett had an outrageously good game as he threw for 281 yards and four touchdowns on only 19 passes. What's more, he racked up 137.6 passer rating, the most he's had since back in September of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Ethan Alderson, who picked up 100 receiving yards and a pair of TDs.

Iroquois' first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-3. As for Union City, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-3.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Iroquois will take on Cambridge Springs at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Union City, they will face off against Saegertown at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
