Basketball Recap: Cedar Ridge Starts Season with Defeat on the Road + How To Watch

Cedar Ridge had to start their season on the road on Friday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They took a 52-43 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Northern Durham Knights. Sadly, the defeat continues a streak the team started last season, making it seven in a row.

Several Fighting Red Wolves players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Rowan Wise, who almost dropped a double-double with 13 points and nine boards. Jack Kelsey was another key player, putting up eight points along with six rebounds and three blocks.

Northern Durham has already played their next contest, a 56-32 victory against Durham School of the Arts on the 18th. Hopefully Cedar Ridge paid attention to the Knights' game: the next time they hit the field, they'll take on the Knights at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
