Baseball Game Preview: Summerfield Waldorf Mustangs vs. Victory Christian Academy Eagles

The Summerfield Waldorf Mustangs will face off against the Victory Christian Academy Eagles at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Neither of those teams managed to put together many runs in their previous contests, so the offenses might be a little more motivated than usual.

On Saturday, Summerfield Waldorf came up short against St. Helena and fell 5-2.

Luca C was huge while hitting and pitching even without the win. He pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in strikeouts (five). He was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances.

C wasn't the only one making solid contact as four players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Cash Y, who went 1-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

Victory Christian Academy kicked off their season on the road on Friday and hit a couple of potholes. They came up short against Willits, falling 19-0.

Summerfield Waldorf now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Victory Christian Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-1.

Summerfield Waldorf took their victory against Victory Christian Academy when the teams last played back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 24-4. Will Summerfield Waldorf repeat their success, or does Victory Christian Academy have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
