Softball Recap: Braden River Comes Up Short

Braden River lost against Manatee back in February, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Pirates came up short against the Hurricanes, falling 20-3. The Pirates have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Braden River's defeat dropped their record down to 3-11. As for Manatee, with the win, they broke their eight-game losing streak and moved their record to 3-9.

Looking ahead, Braden River will challenge DeSoto County at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The Bulldogs will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something the Pirates surely won't give up without a fight. As for Manatee, they will square off against Sarasota at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. The Hurricanes' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Sailors have averaged an impressive 9.6 runs per game this season.
