Soccer Recap: East Wake Takes a Loss

East Wake lost against Fike back in March, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Warriors lost 9-0 to the Demons. While losing is never fun, East Wake can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina soccer rankings (they are ranked 376th, while Fike are ranked 113th).

East Wake's defeat dropped their record down to 4-9-2. As for Fike, they are on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 13 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-4-2 record this season.

East Wake will be playing at home against Smithfield-Selma at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Fike, they are taking a road trip to square off against West Johnston at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Fike will need to watch out since West Johnston have now posted at least four goals in their last three contests.
