Soccer Game Preview: West Cabarrus vs. South Iredell

West Cabarrus hasn't had much luck against South Iredell recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Wolverines will host the Vikings at 6:00 p.m. Considering both teams were shutout in their prior games, the pair is probably coming into this one with something to prove.

West Cabarrus is headed into Tuesday's matchup looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their third straight game on Friday. They lost 8-0 to Hickory Ridge. While losing is never fun, West Cabarrus can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina soccer rankings (they are ranked 198th, while Hickory Ridge are ranked sixth).

Meanwhile, South Iredell fell victim to Cox Mill and their airtight defense on Friday. They came up short against the Chargers, falling 3-0. South Iredell have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

South Iredell's loss dropped their record down to 6-5-1. As for West Cabarrus, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-7.
