Volleyball Recap: Elbert Continues Road Dominance on Saturday + How To Watch

Elbert lost to Deer Trail back in September of 2024, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Saturday. The Bulldogs put the hurt on the Eagles with a sharp 3-0 victory.

One reason for the win was Elbert's just kept getting better, winning each set by more points than the last. The match finished with set scores of 25-23, 25-20, 25-19.

Paisley Vandergriff paced Elbert's offense, picking up 14 kills. Vandergriff got some help from Jadyn Schmidt and her 23 assists. Schmidt was also solid from the service line: she led the team with five aces.

Elbert pushed their record up to 10-4 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road. As for Deer Trail, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 4-7.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Elbert will square off against Miami-Yoder at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Deer Trail, they will take on Hanover at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
