Basketball Game Preview: Woodside Wolverines vs. Denbigh Patriots

Woodside has won 20 straight games at home (dating back to last season), while Denbigh has won 20 straight on the road, but those streaks won't matter much on Tuesday. The Woodside Wolverines will welcome the Denbigh Patriots at 7:00 p.m.

Woodside is probably headed into the game with a chip on their shoulder considering John Marshall just ended the team's 26-game winning streak dating back to last season on Saturday. They fell just short of the Justices by a score of 50-47. The match marked the Wolverines' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Meanwhile, Denbigh hadn't done well against Nansemond River recently (they were 0-5 in their previous five matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Saturday. Denbigh walked away with a 59-50 victory over Nansemond River.

Denbigh is also on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 12 games, which provided a nice bump to their 13-4 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 56.9 points per game. As for Woodside, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 16-1.
