Sleepy Eye is headed into the contest having just suffered their biggest defeat since January 16, 2024 on Tuesday. They had to suffer through a 76-44 loss at the hands of St. Mary's. The Indians haven't had much luck with the Knights recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.

Meanwhile, New Ulm Cathedral was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Tuesday as they fell 62-57 to Springfield.

New Ulm Cathedral dropped their record down to 2-11 with the loss, which was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Sleepy Eye, their defeat ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 10-7.

Everything came up roses for Sleepy Eye against New Ulm Cathedral in their previous meeting back in December of 2024, as the squad secured a 78-50 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Sleepy Eye since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
