Basketball Recap: St. John Paul II Academy Comes Up Short

St. John Paul II Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They came up short against the Inlet Grove Hurricanes, falling 37-17. The Eagles were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Hurricanes apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in January.

St. John Paul II Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Inlet Grove, the win keeps them at an undefeated 7-0.

St. John Paul II Academy will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on American Heritage at 5:30 p.m. on January 10, 2025. Inlet Grove will also get a bit of a break before their next contest: they'll face off against Dr. Joaquin Garcia at 4:00 p.m. on January 10, 2025.
