Soccer Recap: Syracuse Now 12-1 over Last 13 Games

Syracuse had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. Their defense stepped up to hand the Corner Canyon Chargers a 2-0 shutout on Thursday. That's two games straight that Syracuse have won by exactly two goals.

Indy Heap and Taylee Hughes scored both of Syracuse's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 27 goals.

Syracuse is on a roll lately: they've won 12 of their last 13 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-3 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 40 goals over those 13 matchups. As for Corner Canyon, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last eight contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-8 record this season.
