Basketball Game Preview: Wray Eagles vs. Merino Rams

The Wray Eagles and the Merino Rams will face off at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday without much rest, having both just played. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.

Wray is coming home looking for redemption after taking a loss in their road opener. They fell 54-47 to Yuma on Friday.

Meanwhile, Merino played a tough matchup on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They had to suffer through an 80-31 loss at the hands of Strasburg. The Rams were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 45-18.

Wray came out on top in a nail-biter against Merino in their previous meeting back in December of 2024, sneaking past 43-40. Will the Eagles repeat their success, or do the Rams have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
