Central got themselves on the board against Hinsdale South on Thursday, but Hinsdale South never followed suit. They put the hurt on the Hornets with a sharp 6-0 win. The Rockets' victory was nothing new given the team hasn't lost yet this season.

Daniel Koertgen looked comfortable as he pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two hits any time he's pitched this season.

At the plate, Central got a massive performance out of Liam Schultz, who scored a run while going 3-for-4. The team also got some help courtesy of Thomas Koertgen, who scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances.

Central pushed their record up to 5-0 with the win, which was their fifth straight on the road. The road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they've averaged 6.8 runs this season. As for Hinsdale South, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-5.

Looking ahead, Central will venture away from home to challenge Marmion at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Hinsdale South, they will square off against Oak Forest at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
