Volleyball Recap: Atchison County Comes Up Short

Atchison County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 12th straight loss dating back to last season. They fell 2-0 to the Valley Falls Dragons. The Tigers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Dragons apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in October of 2024.

The match finished with set scores of 25-12, 25-13.

Addison Crockett paced Atchison County's offense, picking up two kills. Crockett got some help from Trinity Sigmon and her four assists.

Atchison County's loss dropped their record down to 0-9. As for Valley Falls, they pushed their record up to 5-1 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Atchison County will take on rival McLouth on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Valley Falls is set to square off against their familiar foe Jackson Heights on Saturday.
