Football Recap: Buckeye Trail Takes a Loss

Buckeye Trail extended their losing streak (dating back to last season) to five on Friday, dropping them down to 0-4. They were outmatched by the Indian Valley Braves and fell 54-16. The Warriors were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 54-8.

As for Indian Valley, their win bumped their record up to 4-0. Considering they have won three games by more than 28 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

This one was won in the trenches and the lion's share of the credit has to go to Grady Kinsey and Reese Stclair. Kinsey rushed for 140 yards and three touchdowns on only five carries while Stclair picked up 119 receiving yards and a pair of scores. Kinsey's rushing production has been exceptional for a while as that marked his ninth straight game with at least 140 rushing yards dating back to last season.

Buckeye Trail wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 44-15 victory against Tuscarawas Central Catholic on the 26th. As for Indian Valley, they have also already played their next matchup, a 56-0 win against Sandy Valley on the 26th.
