Volleyball Recap: Ellington Takes a Loss

Ellington lost against Portageville back in September of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Whippets fell just short of the Bulldogs by a score of 2-1.

Bella Pogue paced Ellington's offense, picking up 14 kills. Pogue got some help from Tayleigh Cowin and her 32 assists.

Ellington's loss dropped their record down to 8-3-1. As for Portageville, the win was the 11th in a row for them, bringing their record up to 13-1.

Ellington wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 3-0 victory against Summersville on the 16th. As for Portageville, they have also already played their next game, a 2-0 defeat against Meadow Heights on the 13th.
