Cobre entered their tilt with Socorro on Saturday with six consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with seven. They put the hurt on the Warriors with a sharp 18-4 win. The Indians have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Warriors, too.

Bella Saiz and Anahi Madrid made a big impact no matter where they played. Throwing, Saiz struck out six batters over two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and not a single walk). Meanwhile, Madrid pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off three hits. Saiz has been consistent for a while: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in nine consecutive appearances. At bat, Saiz got on base in three of her four plate appearances with two stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI, while Madrid got on base in three of her four plate appearances with two runs, one double, and one RBI.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Ayvah Ortiz, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with four runs, four RBI, and one triple. That's the most runs she has posted since back in March. The team also got some help courtesy of Alexis Carrillo, who got on base in all three of her plate appearances with three stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI.

Cobre was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .500. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .500 or higher in three consecutive contests.

Cobre's victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 12-6. The road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 15.3 runs over those games. As for Socorro, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost ten of their last 11 matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-15 record this season.
