Basketball Recap: Gate City Takes a Loss

Gate City was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They took a 55-46 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Dobyns-Bennett Indians. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Blue Devils this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 67-46 back in December of 2024.

Gate City's defeat dropped their record down to 4-8. As for Dobyns-Bennett, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 17-7.

Gate City won't have much time to rest: their next match is against John Battle at 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Dobyns-Bennett, they will head out on the road to face off against Science Hill at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
