Baseball Recap: Hondo Extends Winning Streak to Three

Hondo won the last time they faced Karnes City and things went their way on Friday too. The Owls came out on top against the Badgers by a score of 5-2. The win was familiar territory for the Owls, who have now won three matches in a row.

Hondo's victory was truly a team effort as six different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Mason Barr, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one run. Barr is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last four games he's played.

Hondo was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .409. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .360 or higher in three consecutive games.

Hondo's record is now 17-5-1. As for Karnes City, they moved to 18-6 with that defeat, which also ended their three-game winning streak.

Hondo wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 6-2 win against Orange Grove on the 26th. As for Karnes City, they will square off against Hallettsville at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Brahmas' pitching crew has only allowed 1.4 runs per game this season, so the Badgers' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
