Recap: Union Cougars vs. Morgan Trojans
The Union Cougars lost against the Morgan Trojans back in November of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Union lost to Morgan on the road by a decisive 65-51 margin. Union has struggled against Morgan recently, as their matchup on Tuesday was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.
Morgan got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Keira Brewer out in front who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 11 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Brewer has scored all season. Kaydence Wardell was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with seven steals and six assists.
Union has not been sharp recently, as they've lost ten of their last 12 matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-13 record this season. As for Morgan, their win bumped their record up to 4-11.
Union will be playing at home against Ogden at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Utah (Ogden is ranked 108th, while Union is ranked 107th). As for Morgan, they will head out on the road to take on South Summit at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Hopefully South Summit focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 30 on Tuesday.
