Baseball Recap: Midfield Comes Up Short

Midfield was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 13th straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost 19-2 to the Pinson Valley Indians. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Indians this season, with their most recent loss being a 19-0 defeat last Monday.

Midfield's loss dropped their record down to 0-12. As for Pinson Valley, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 6-13.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Midfield will be taking part in a tournament against Wenonah at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Pinson Valley, they will face off against Paul W. Bryant at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Pinson Valley knows how to get runs on the board -- the team has finished with ten runs or more in their past three games -- so hopefully Paul W. Bryant likes a good challenge.
