Westview has gone a perfect 4-0 against Burke recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Wolverines will be home for the holidays to greet the Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m. One thing working in Westview's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season.
Westview is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They really took it to Benson for the full four quarters, racking up an 84-42 win. The Wolverines haven't had any issues with the Bunnies recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.
It was another big night for Reegon Hollingsworth, who went 6-for-8 from beyond the arc en route to 23 points. That's the most points he has posted since back in December of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of EJ Swindle, who put up eight points along with seven steals and six assists.
Westview was working as a unit and finished the game with 20 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.
Meanwhile, Burke's game on Saturday was all tied up 30-30 at the half, but sadly for them it didn't stay that way. They took a 63-59 hit to the loss column at the hands of Benson.
Westview will need to focus on slowing down Jaylend Parks, one of several Burke players who made an impact when they last played. He shot 55% from the field to rack up 13 points. Jordan Price was another key player, putting up 14 points.
Westview's win bumped their record up to 4-1. As for Burke, they dropped their record down to 2-2 with the loss, which was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season.
Keep an eye on the arc in Thursday's contest: Westview has been dynamite from deep this season, having nailed 35.3% of their threes per game. It's a different story for Burke, though, as they've only made 21.3% of their three-pointers this season. Given Westview's sizable advantage in that area, the Bulldogs will need to find a way to close that gap.
