Basketball Game Preview: Bloomfield Bees vs. Winside Wildcats

Bloomfield is 10-0 against Winside since December of 2018 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Monday. The Bloomfield Bees will welcome the Winside Wildcats at 6:00 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Bloomfield has three straight victories, Winside has three straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the court.

On Friday, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Bloomfield beat Chambers/Wheeler Central 57-53.

Bloomfield found their leader in freshman Madyson Mlady, who almost dropped a double-double on 22 points and nine boards. Mlady is crushing it when it comes to rebounds: she's pulled down at least nine every time she's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Avery Bargman, who posted 12 points.

Meanwhile, Winside came up short against Wausa on Friday and fell 44-32.

Bloomfield has been performing well recently as they've won eight of their last ten matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 9-5 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 52.1 points per game. As for Winside, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-12.

Bloomfield didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against Winside in their previous meeting back in December of 2023, but they still walked away with a 47-41 win. Will Bloomfield repeat their success, or does Winside have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
