Basketball Recap: Sherwood Comes Up Short

Sherwood was the 54-22 winner over Century when they last played one another back in February of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Sherwood Bowmen fell 54-45 to the Century Jaguars on Tuesday. The Bowmen have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Century's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Kiara Green led the charge by dropping a double-double on 13 points and ten boards. Green is crushing it when it comes to rebounds: she's pulled down at least eight every time she's taken the court this season. Alyssa Loza was another key player, going 7 of 15 en route to 20 points and five steals.

Sherwood's defeat dropped their record down to 7-7. As for Century, the victory was the eighth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 13-3.

Sherwood has already played their next matchup (against Liberty), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Century has already played their next game, a 69-33 win against Newberg on the 23rd.
