Soccer Game Preview: Liberty vs. Chowchilla

The Liberty Hawks will venture away from home to challenge the Chowchilla Tribe at 5:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Liberty will be strutting in after a victory while Chowchilla will be coming in after a loss.

Liberty is headed in fresh off scoring the most goals they have all season. They were the clear victor by a 4-0 margin over Fresno Christian on Friday. Colin Mayes was a massive factor in the win as he booted in three goals all by himself.

Meanwhile, Chowchilla was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They came up short against Caruthers, falling 4-1.

Chowchilla's loss dropped their record down to 7-6-3. As for Liberty, their win bumped their record up to 5-10-3.

Liberty skirted past Chowchilla 1-0 in their previous meeting back in January of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for Liberty since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
