Softball Recap: Hickory Takes a Loss

Hickory was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They came up short against the East Lincoln Mustangs, falling 13-2. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Mustangs this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 14-4 last Tuesday.

Hickory saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ella Stephens, who scored a run while going 1-for-2.

Hickory's defeat dropped their record down to 1-3. As for East Lincoln, they now have a winning record of 3-2.

Hickory wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, a 16-1 victory against Bessemer City on the 17th. As for East Lincoln, they have also already played their next contest, a 2-0 win against North Lincoln on the 18th.
