Football Preview: Huntington Raiders vs. Byrd Yellow Jackets
The Huntington Raiders will head out on the road to face off against the Byrd Yellow Jackets at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Huntington has given up an average of 48.8 points per game this season, but Thursday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.
Huntington managed to slip by Evangel Christian Academy the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Raiders were outmatched by the Eagles and fell 62-14. The matchup marked the Raiders' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Justin Whitaker, who threw for 202 yards and two TDs while completing 73.1% of his passes, and also rushed for 46 yards. 100 of Whitaker's passing yards were hauled in by Adrian Johnson.

Huntington now has a losing record of 2-3. As for Byrd, their loss dropped their record down to 1-4.
