Softball Recap: Sardis Comes Up Short

Sardis came into their game on Friday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 15-1 to the Madison County Tigers. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Lions of the 6-1 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2023.

Sardis' defeat dropped their record down to 26-12. As for Madison County, they are on a roll lately: they've won 12 of their last 13 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 24-10 record this season.

Sardis will host Etowah at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Madison County, they will be taking part in a tournament against Belgreen at 8:00 p.m. on Friday.
