Soccer Recap: Deseret Peak Takes a Loss

Deseret Peak was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They came up short against the Stansbury Stallions, falling 9-1. While losing is never fun, Deseret Peak can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Utah soccer rankings (they are ranked 82nd, while Stansbury are ranked 11th).

Deseret Peak's defeat dropped their record down to 0-7. As for Stansbury, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-1.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Deseret Peak will square off against rival Ridgeline at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Stansbury is set to challenge their familiar foe Tooele at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
