After losing to Linden the last time they met, Plainfield decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Cardinals narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the Tigers 2-1.

Plainfield got the W, but it wasn't easy, at least in the third set. The match finished with set scores of 25-17, 16-25, 30-28.

Plainfield is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 4-2 record this season. As for Linden, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-4.

Looking ahead, Plainfield will welcome Roselle Catholic at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Linden, they will head out on the road to take on Hillside at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The Tigers are facing the Comets at the right time seeing as the Comets are stuck on a three-game losing streak.
