Gilmer County has gone a perfect 10-0 against Webster County recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Titans will take on the Highlanders at 5:00 p.m. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty run totals in their previous games.
Gilmer County's pitching crew heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Tuesday. Everything went their way against Calhoun as they made off with a 10-0 victory. Considering the Titans have won 14 games by more than five runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Seth Stewart looked comfortable as he pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances.
Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Webster County, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They put the hurt on Wirt County with a sharp 10-3 win on Wednesday.
Maddox Brown spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned (and two unearned) runs on five hits. Webster County is 4-1 when Brown allows two or fewer earned runs, but 5-6 otherwise.
On the hitting side, Webster County got a massive performance out of David Adkinson, who went 3-for-4 with two doubles, one stolen base, and one run. Those three hits gave Adkinson a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Ryder Miller, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, two doubles, and two RBI.
Webster County was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .448. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.
Gilmer County's record is now 19-3. As for Webster County, their record now sits at 9-7.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Thursday as neither team is afraid to steal. Gilmer County has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 4.9 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Webster County struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 4.6 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
Everything went Gilmer County's way against Webster County in their previous meeting on April 7th, as Gilmer County made off with a 12-2 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Titans since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
