Preview: Greencastle Tiger Cubs vs. North Putnam Cougars

Greencastle has enjoyed a three-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. Having just played yesterday, they will jump right back in to play the North Putnam Cougars at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.

On Thursday, Greencastle strolled past South Putnam with points to spare, taking the game 69-54.

Greencastle found their leader in underclassman Nathan Sutherlin, who scored 25 points along with four steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Sutherlin has scored all season. Anthony Adams was another key contributor, scoring 16 points.

Meanwhile, North Putnam waltzed into their game on Thursday with six straight wins but they left with seven. They claimed a resounding 63-27 victory over Cloverdale on the road. That 36 point margin sets a new team best for North Putnam this season.

Greencastle is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight matches, which provided a nice bump to their 11-8 record this season. As for North Putnam, their victory bumped their record up to 12-8.

Greencastle didn't have too much breathing room in their match against North Putnam in their previous matchup back in January, but they still walked away with a 59-54 victory. Does Greencastle have another victory up their sleeve, or will North Putnam turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
