Recap: First Baptist Crusaders vs. Lake Region Christian Hornets
The First Baptist Crusaders entered their tilt with the Lake Region Christian Hornets with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. First Baptist came out on top against Lake Region Christian by a score of 63-56 on Friday. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
First Baptist got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Levi Borner out in front who scored 26 points along with 3 steals. Borner continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Josh Anderson , who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 17 rebounds.
First Baptist has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 7-4 record this season. As for Lake Region Christian, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-1.
First Baptist is on the road again on Friday and play against Woodcrest Baptist Academy at 5:00 p.m. on December 8th. Lake Region Christian will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Prior Lake Christian at 5:30 p.m. on January 9, 2024.
