Volleyball Recap: Frankfort's Victory on Tuesday Extends Winning Streak to Five

Frankfort hadn't done well against Tipton recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. The Hot Dogs were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Blue Devils. Winning may never get old, but the Hot Dogs sure are getting used to it with their fifth in a row.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Frankfort took every set by at least 13 points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-12, 25-9, 25-9.

Frankfort found their leader in sophomore Grace Myers, who had eight digs and seven aces. Those seven aces set a new season-high mark for Myers.

Frankfort was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 12 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least six aces in nine consecutive contests.

Frankfort's record is now 14-6. As for Tipton, they dropped their record down to 7-12 with the loss, which was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Frankfort will venture away from home to take on Clinton Prairie at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Tipton, they will head out to challenge Elwood at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
