Baseball Recap: Granite Bay Grizzlies vs. Rio Americano Raiders        
        
		
            
 With a playoff game on the line, Granite Bay rose to the challenge  on Tuesday. They never let the Rio Americano Raiders onto the board and left with  a   10-0  win. Granite Bay's victory was all the more impressive since Rio Americano was averaging only 3.62 runs allowed on the season.
  Chase Bentley made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he  didn't allow a single  earned run while striking out 11 over six innings pitched. Bentley has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't  given up  more than two  walks in seven consecutive pitching appearances. Bentley was also big at the plate,  scoring two  runs while going 1-for-3.
 In other batting news,  Jace Bystrowski was  incredible,  scoring four  runs and  stealing two bases while going 3-for-3.  Brenden Pops was another key contributor,  getting on base  in all four of his plate appearances with  an  RBI.
 On Rio Americano's side, they saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Mac Hausman, who  went 1-for-3 with two  stolen bases.
 Granite Bay's win bumped their record up to 20-9. As for Rio Americano, their defeat  ended  a  four-game streak of away wins  and  brought them to 20-9.
 Granite Bay will take on Jesuit at 4:00  p.m.  on Thursday. Jesuit will roll in looking for their  11th straight  victory, something Granite Bay surely won't give up without a fight. Rio Americano does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
