Volleyball Recap: Fallbrook Has No Trouble Against Escondido

Fallbrook hadn't done well against Escondido recently (they were 0-7 in their previous seven matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Wednesday. The Fallbrook Warriors were the clear victor by a 3-0 margin over the Escondido Cougars. For the Warriors, this counts as revenge for the 3-1 victory the Cougars walked away with the last time they faced one another back in April of 2024.

Fallbrook walked away with the win (and looked especially good in the first set). The final score came out to 25-15, 25-18, 25-19.

Joshua Robertson paced Fallbrook's offense, picking up 16 kills. Robertson got some help from Gabriel Palacios and his 25 assists. Palacios was also solid from the service line: he led the team with four aces.

Quinton Tam and Victor Gonzalez certainly did their best on Wednesday to avoid the loss. Tam had 19 digs, while Gonzalez had eight digs. Tam is crushing it when it comes to digs: he's had at least 17 every time he's taken the court this season.

The victory got Fallbrook back to even at 1-1. As for Escondido, they are on a four-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Fallbrook has already played their next contest, a 2-0 defeat against El Cajon Valley on the 28th. As for Escondido, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-1 win against Chula Vista on the 28th.
