Baseball Recap: Spring-Ford Takes a Loss

Spring-Ford was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat dating back to last season. They took a 5-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Perkiomen Valley Vikings. The Rams were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Vikings apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.

Spring-Ford got a good showing from Jake Hommer, who didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits over four innings pitched.

On the hitting side, Spring-Ford saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Luke Sedor, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base and one RBI.

Spring-Ford's record now sits at 0-3. As for Perkiomen Valley, the win got them back to even at 2-2.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Spring-Ford will face off against rival Methacton at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Perkiomen Valley is set to take on their familiar foe Phoenixville at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
