Volleyball Recap: Lexington School for the Deaf Blue Jays vs. Stony Brook Bears
Lexington School for the Deaf was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Stony Brook Bears. The Blue Jays were not able to make up for their loss to the Bears from their previous meeting back in September of 2024.
Lexington School for the Deaf started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last two. The final score came out to 24-26, 25-17, 15-8.
Lexington School for the Deaf's defeat dropped their record down to 0-5.
Looking ahead, Lexington School for the Deaf will challenge Katzenbach School for the Deaf at 3:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Stony Brook, they will head out on the road to square off against Martin Luther at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
