Baseball Recap: Rice Consolidated Takes a Loss

Rice Consolidated came into this matchup off a tough ten-run defeat last Tuesday. This time they kept things ultra-competitive, but unfortunately the final result was the same. They fell just short of the Palacios Sharks by a score of 9-7 on Friday. The Raiders haven't had much luck with the Sharks recently, as the team has come up short the last six times they've met.

Noah Gonzales was cooking despite his team's loss, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs, two doubles, and one triple. Those three hits gave him a new career-high.

Rice Consolidated's loss dropped their record down to 9-6. As for Palacios, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 11-4.

Rice Consolidated didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 4-1 defeat against Tidehaven on the 18th. As for Palacios, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 14-9 loss against Columbus on the 18th.
