Softball Recap: Lufkin Makes It Eight in a Row on the Road

Lufkin never got on the board in their matchup on Tuesday, but that sure wasn't the case in their game against Texas on Friday. They came out on top against the Tigers by a score of 10-6. The victory continues a trend for the Panthers in their matchups with the Tigers: they've now won six in a row.

Lufkin's win was their eighth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 22-4. The road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.8 runs over those games. As for Texas, they moved to 18-8-1 with that defeat, which also ended their three-game winning streak.

Lufkin does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Texas, they will be playing at home against Melissa at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Cardinals will roll in looking for their 29th straight win, something the Tigers surely won't give up without a fight.
