Baseball Recap: First Academy Has No Trouble Against Real Life Christian Academy

First Academy won the last time they faced Real Life Christian Academy and things went their way on Tuesday too. The First Academy Eagles blew past the Real Life Christian Academy Raptors 15-3. Considering the Eagles have won six contests by more than nine runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Caiden Wilcox made a big impact no matter where he played. On the mound, he tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Those zero hits allowed gave him a new career-low. He was even better at the plate, scoring three runs and stealing Two bases. while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

In other batting news, Cason Cherry was a standout: he scored three runs and stole a base while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Colin Bryan, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one triple, two RBI, and one run.

The victory made it two in a row for First Academy and bumps their season record up to 7-1. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.5 runs on average over those games. As for Real Life Christian Academy, their loss was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 2-5.

Looking ahead, First Academy will face off against Leesburg at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Real Life Christian Academy, they will square off against Zephyrhills Christian Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Zephyrhills Christian Academy is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8 runs per game this season.
