Highly-touted point guard prospect Nico Mannion of Pinnacle (Phoenix, Ariz.) announced Friday he is reclassifying from the high school Class of 2020 to 2019.

The development was first reported by Josh Gershon of 247Sports.
The 6-foot-2 senior-to-be averaged 23.4 points, 5.8 assists and 4.7 rebounds per game during the 2017-18 season at Pinnacle, leading the Pioneers to a 23-7 record and Arizona's Class 6A state title.

Arizona is considered to be the leader in Mannion's recruitment with Duke, Kansas, Marquette, Oregon, UCLA, USC, Utah and Vanderbilt also in the picture.

247Sports wasted no time updating Mannion's status in the 2019 class, installing him as the No. 17 overall prospect in the composite player rankings.
