Palmdale is 8-1-1 against Lancaster since January of 2020 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. It'll be a Battle of the Birds when the Palmdale challenge the Lancaster at 4:30 p.m. Palmdale will be strutting in after a victory while Lancaster will be coming in after a loss.

Last Wednesday, Palmdale was able to grind out a solid win over Highland, taking the game 3-1. Given the Falcons' advantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 221st, while the Bulldogs are ranked 671st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Lancaster was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They came up short against Antelope Valley, falling 3-0.

Palmdale pushed their record up to 6-3-1 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 11 goals over those four games. As for Lancaster, their loss dropped their record down to 2-8-2.

Palmdale took their win against Lancaster when the teams last played back in December of 2024 by a conclusive 9-2. In that match, Palmdale amassed a halftime lead of 5-0, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Friday.
