Basketball Recap: California Proves Higher State Rank Is No Mistake

California won the last time they faced Warrensburg and things went their way on Friday too. The California Pintos came out on top against the Warrensburg Tigers by a score of 48-39. Given the Pintos' advantage in MaxPreps' Missouri basketball rankings (they are ranked 220th, while the Tigers are ranked 483rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

California now has a winning record of 7-6. As for Warrensburg, they are on a ten-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-13.

When California and Warrensburg next hit the court, they'll be up against teams who recently just can't seem to lose. California will try to stop Southern Boone's three-game winning streak when the meet at 7:30 p.m. on January 31st. Similarly, Warrensburg will face off against Harrisonville and their three-game winning streak at 7:00 p.m. on February 4th.
