Basketball Game Preview: Woodward Polar Bears vs. Rogers Rams

Woodward is 1-9 against Rogers since February of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Woodward Polar Bears will be playing at home against the Rogers Rams at 7:30 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this matchup.

Woodward is headed into Friday's contest looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their 13th straight game dating back to last season on Saturday. They took a blow against Africentric Early College, falling 71-32. While losing is never fun, the Polar Bears can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 740th, while the Nubians are ranked 113th).

Meanwhile, Rogers unfortunately witnessed the end of their seven-game winning streak on Tuesday. They fell 45-37 to Start.

Rogers' loss ended an 11-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 12-3. As for Woodward, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-11.
